The end of our first semester is coming up and everyone is preparing for final exams. I am very pleased with what I've achieved so far, such as, performing with my band at the schools silent auction event which was very fun and I learned a lot from playing on a stage and cooperating with 3 other people. Although this semester has been slightly boring and tedious, I still enjoyed it because I learned a lot about time management and how to keep on top of my work. I wish I could have done more performances so I could see where I've been improving and what needs work. Even with my one performance, I've improved a lot more than I thought I would from when I first started playing guitar which encourages me to keep on practising and progressing my abilities. Though most of the semester has been full of joyous moments, there have still be some challenges; I've had to learn songs that to begin with, I found very difficult, but as soon as I get them down I'm able to play even more challenging music and that helps me progress greatly. Next semester, my goal is to not be afraid of playing a song based on how difficult it sounds and at least give it an attempt. This will allow me to improve even more and widen my taste in music. Overall I hope next semester goes well and I can make it through without a struggle.
